On the third planet that Rick and Morty visit where dinosaurs went extinct in the past, the aliens there theorize that dinos were a species that loved skateboarding and frequently did so in the crater created by the asteroid collision.Much later, once Rick has gotten the dinosaurs to leave, the two meet up again, and Curtis is quite high on molly. At the diner, Rick casually gives the POTUS a bag of the stuff, and while he states that that's not why he called Rick, he still takes the bag anyway. When Rick gets a call from President Curtis the first time, he notes that this usually only happens for emergencies or if the Prez wants molly.Rick: It's gonna be classic episodes, Morty! Rick's fury at the dinosaurs fixing the rift in space-time:.And to highlight just how impressive they are, most of their displays of power are accomplished just by them thinking about it and concentrating for a moment, putting them on the level of Reality Warpers. They're also able to terraform entire worlds and cause plants to sprout and grow from barren soil. They casually create a new portal gun (a portal pistol) for him, and the pistol is not only much sleeker and compact than Rick's old portal gun, but the portals it creates allow you to see your destination instead of just a swirling green vortex. Beyond the Impossible: The dinosaurs are even more intelligent than Rick is, and that is no small feat. While the dinosaurs evolved into "higher and higher levels of loving vegan godhood, another life-form devolved into an equally selfless hate-filled species of barely-sentient rocks" that seek out the dinosaurs as a form of Animal Jingoism, crashing into every planet that the dinosaurs colonize. Balance of Good and Evil: The show gives a Science Fiction version of the concept with the dinosaurs and the sentient meteors.Plus the fact that birds are dinosaurs themselves is never addressed. Pterosaurs are shown to be part of the dinosaurs' society and equally sapient, despite not being dinosaurs themselves.Dinosaurs that went extinct before the Late Cretaceous are shown to be alive in present times, and among the dinosaurs that left for space millions of years ago.Fossil fuels are not made of dinosaurs, petroleum in particular is created from ancient decomposing plankton and algae. A Brick Joke in the episode is that humans used the dinosaurs' remains as fuel (read: oil), with the dinosaurs shown leaving flowers at the site of an oil well. However, "Elvisaurus" is only an informal nickname (of Crylophosaurus), Gojirasaurus is thought to be a nomen dubium (it's probably just a large Coelophysis), and Dracorex is now considered a junior synonym of Pachycephalosaurus. There's a voiceover song listing names of silly-sounding dinosaur names being capped off by the singer stating all the names are real.Angrish: The living meteor spouts nothing but incomprehensible rage-speak and angry screaming. However, Rick very quickly understands their tech and adapts his own to counter it, to the point that in the episode's climax the Dinosaurs are powerless to move him away against his will. They even have portal technology and traveled the multiverse, before deciding to focus on their universe of origin. Rick casually proclaims himself on the same level as the dinosaurs, but though they don't brag about it, they seemingly prove him wrong with their far superior technology.
